Using a beautiful slice of a natural geological specimen of Tiger's Eye from Australia affixed to a board along with paint to create a three-dimensional wall hanging they call a "Stone Creation." Title and further information including signatures written on the back. Comes with a label that gives the origin of the materials and concept. Can be hung vertically or horizontally.

Size: 36 x 14 x 2 1/4 in.

Marlys Mallét (born 1942) and Michael Redhawk (born 1954) are an artistic husband-and-wife team based in Sedona, Arizona with over 60 years of combined experience going into their “Unison” creations. Mallet received her art education at the Burley School of Professional Art and the Cornish School of Allied Arts in Seattle, followed by tenure at John McCrady Art School in New Orleans before continuing her studies at Stanford University and at the Pacific Art League in Palo Alto. Redhawk spent many years studying and developing his painting skills to create stunning landscapes, while also developing a knack for using mineral specimens to create jewelry and stone sculptures. They collaborated on a series of murals in the early 2000s, and Mallet decided to reject her traditional training in favor of focusing on abstract works while Redhawk began to focus more and more on Romantic Realism, both drawing inspiration from the incredible scenery of the American Southwest.
