Luigi Amato (1898-1981) Italian, PastelFine pastel portrait of a village elder with pipe and walking sticks. Luigi Amato received a scholarship at the age of 14 to study art in Rome. He exhibited at the Rome Biennale and received an award. He was commissioned to paint the King andQueen of Italy. He also exhibited in London where he was nominated to the prestigious pastel society.
