Louise Astoud-Trolley (1817–1883) was a French sculptor and painter renowned for her refined portrait medallions and religious artworks. Born in Paris as Louise Pauline Marie Astoud, she studied under her mother and the painter Jean-Jacques Monanteuil. Astoud-Trolley exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon between 1865 and 1878, presenting sculptures, busts, and medallions that often depicted prominent cultural figures of her time. Notable works include a bronze medallion of the sculptor Auguste Préault, now housed at the Musée d'Orsay, and a bas-relief of Elie Sorin in the Musée des Beaux-Arts d'Angers. She also created religious paintings, such as a replica of Lorenzo di Credi's 1494 La Vierge et l'Enfant entourés de saint Julien et saint Nicolas de Myre, commissioned for the parish church in Allières. Beyond her artistic contributions, Astoud-Trolley served as the perpetual secretary of the Association des artistes founded by Isidore Taylor, reflecting her active engagement in the artistic community. She was married to François Alfred Trolley de Prévaux, a law professor and chevalier of the Légion d'honneur, and spent her later years in Caen, where she passed away in 1883.
