Likely Flavio Poli (1900-1984) Italian, Square Top Bubble Art Glass "Geode" Bowl. A stunning body seemingly composed of bubbles with bits of gold leaf throughout covers the exterior, while the inside is a striking jade green. No visible signature, but matches the bowl form that he championed in the 1950s and 60s.

Size: 3 x 3 1/2 in.

Born in Venice in 1900, Flavio Poli trained at the Istituto d'Arte di Venezia before becoming artistic director and partner at Seguso Vetri d’Arte in 1934. He pioneered the iconic sommerso ("submerged") glassmaking technique—layering multiple transparent colors to create remarkable depth—which earned him a prestigious Compasso d’Oro award in 1954. Honored as one of the great 20th-century innovators of Italian art glass, Poli’s masterworks are preserved in leading global institutions, including the Victoria and Albert Museum and New York's Museum of Modern Art.
