Licio Zanetti (1937-2019) Italian, Vintage Murano Glass Conch Shell Sculpture. Amazing swirled shape delicately pointed at one end and open at the other. Signed on the underside. 

Size: 8 1/2 x 5 x 4 1/2 in. 

Licio Zanetti was an Italian glass artist born in 1937 in Murano, Italy, where he spent much of his life. Renowned for his skillful glasswork, Zanetti was a key figure in the Murano glass tradition, blending traditional techniques with modern artistry, and started his own company in 1956 after encouragement from his father who taught him everything he knew. He retired in 1989 and handed the company to his son Oscar, who in turn brought his son Andrea on in the early 2000s, making their company family-owned for four generations by the time Licio passed away in 2019, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful glass creations.
