Titled "Kiszakittot Ter". Back Reads: Laszlo Dus was born in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary, in 1941. While still in elementary school, his talent for drawing, painting and sculpture became apparent. family realized his talent and enrolled him in the National Fine Arts and Crafts School in Budapest. He, along with 120 students, was chosen out of thousands of applicants. Dus continued to study in Budapest, however, he received special invitations from other European coun- tries to exhibit his works and soon he was recognized for his exceptional work with design and color throughout Europe. In 1974 he emigrated to the United States with his wife and daughter. In late 1976, Dus began his asso- ciation with Albert Scaglione and Park West Galleries. Dus works are in many museum permanent collections in- cluding the Detroit Institute of Arts, Smithsonian Insti- tution, Chicago Institute of Art and the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
