Large cast brass murti depicting dancing Krishna, playing his flute.
The word 'murti' means form or embodiment of the divine. The murti is a statue made in the image of divine Brahman, intended as a figure of ritual and worship, often installed in homes, temples, or public spaces.
This murti represents Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. He is a god of protection, compassion, tenderness and love, making his visage a common fixture in Hindu households.
