Klaus Brill was a German artist active in the latter half of the 20th century, recognized for his abstract and geometric works in printmaking and mixed media. His 1977 woodcut Counterpoint features layered forms in muted tones, while his 1978 piece Trees showcases a unique three-dimensional woodcut technique measuring 39" x 51" . Brill also created limited edition aquatints, such as Structure II, and his works have been exhibited and sold through various galleries and auctions . Additionally, he contributed to public art collections, including the City of Newport, Oregon's collection . Brill was married to fellow artist Gabrielle Brill, a German-born Jewish surrealist who fled Nazi Germany in 1933 and continued her artistic career in the United States .
