Grey vinyl Resting Place Dissected Companion figurine is a 2013 collaboration between KAWS' Original Fake brand and the toy manufacturer Medicom. The artist often appropriates and takes inspiration from pop culture animations. and he has formed an immediately recognizable artistic vocabulary, often creating sculptures of hybrid cartoon characters.
A collaborative concept design project by Katayama and the NY based contemporary artist KAWS, OriginalFake is a unique store featuring one-of-a-kind products produced by the artist.
