Josephina Espinosa was born into a family of artists in Cali, Colombia in the 1970s. She became interested in visual arts at an early age, and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the school of Bellas Artes in Cartagena. After getting married and moving to the United States, she settled in Venice, Florida to raise her two children. During this time she became fascinated with fusing glass and began to develop a distinctive range of styles and techniques, creating one-of-a-kind pieces on commission. Currently many of her works are exhibited throughout southwest Florida, and can be found in private collections all over the world. Aside from stained and fusion glass, she also studied flower design, china painting, and landscape painting, constantly seeking out new artforms to perfect, and regularly gives lectures and classes along the Suncoast.
