Johnny Friedlaender (1912–1992) was a German-born artist known for his innovative approach to printmaking, particularly lithography and etching. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, Friedlaender fled Nazi Germany in the 1930s and settled in Paris, where he became associated with the Surrealist movement. His work, often abstract, is recognized for its intricate compositions and exploration of texture and form. Throughout his career, Friedlaender's prints were exhibited internationally, and he earned a reputation as a master of the medium. His art is characterized by a fusion of imagination and technical mastery, blending organic and geometric elements.
