John Townsend (20th Century) American, Painted Bronze Oval Seashell Coffee Table. 

Comes in 3 pieces. Large conch shell. Glass top. 

Size: 34 1/2 x 22 3/4 x 18 1/2 in. 

John W. Townsend was born in Miami, Florida on April 30th, 1953. He discovered art at a late age and became fascinated with bronze sculpture, eventually opening Marine Sculptures and Fine Art in Sandford, Florida in 2008. Although the company closed in 2014 he continues to produce large and intricate tables, lamps, and decorative sculptures of his favorite aquatic subjects, many of which have become highly sought after by collectors and interior decorators.
