John Kiraly (20th C.) American. Floridian artist b. 1943. Original oil on canvas. Key West Beach House. Signed and dated '75. John Kiraly moved to Florida as a youth and later studied art at the University of Miami with John Clinkenburg and Eugene Massin. He left school early to pursue a passion for travel, which led him around the world, eventually landing him in the Bahamas where he opened an art gallery. Moving to Key West in 1973, Kiraly began to paint studies of the architecture and plants that would lead him eventually to produce landscapes of distilled tropical realism. His work was well received.
