John Kabel was an American photographer from Dayton, Ohio. He was born, raised,
and died in Dayton, and outdoor photography was his bread and butter for a long time.
His works have appeared in books and magazines, on calendars, and in advertisements
for railroads and national parks. John found most of his material in the countryside and
in the woods and streams near his home town, and in Ontario, Canada, where he spent
time on summer vacations. He was known for composition and lighting in his works.
