John Horejs (b 1949) American, Oil/Canvas Titled “Patio Luncheon”, a view of a female figure ascending steps of a country estate, manicured lawn and garden. Oil on canvas, signed lower right, titled and signed verso. John Horejs was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho. He now lives in Arizona and is best known for mountain landscapes. His representational/impressionistic paintings are created on hand-made custom contemporary box canvases with no frames, which have become his trademark. Horejs works on one painting at a time, as quickly as possible, so that he is always working wet oil into wet oil paint. Most of his work is done in-studio using his own photographs of the various landscapes, gardens, clouds, and deserts Horejs has visited as references. Size: 48 x 48 in. #87
