An Americas Cup racer from the '30's, according to Jim Wilshire's web site.
Growing up near the water influenced Wilshire's work to a great degree, it's where he's most content. His wife and him spend time on their boat "Cappuccino" a Fantasia 35. Wilshire's grandmother was a painter, and his dad was a concert violinist, so art was much appreciated in their home when he was growing up. He began to enjoy painting at an early age, but didn't start doing it full-time until later in life.
