A covered bridge in Autumn, oil on canvas, signed lower right. Jesse Carl Hobby studied painting in his native Cooperstown, New York. He moved to Omaha, Nebraska to learn the craft of scenic design, and later to Chicago, Illinois where he gained a modest reputation for his landscapes.
