Jean-Baptiste-Gabriel Langlacé (1786-1864) was a French landscape painter and decorator who worked at the Sèvres porcelain manufactory from 1807 to 1844. He regularly exhibited at the Paris Salons, earning recognition for his carefully observed, topographically faithful depictions of real locales. Langlacé's works, often bathed in a soft, golden light, combined accuracy with an atmospheric quality, lending familiar views a sense of timeless harmony. Significantly, he also served as the first teacher to the renowned landscape painter Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot.
