Untitled art glass vessel. This piece was bequeathed from a private foundation to Ringling School of Art & Design.
A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Jay MacDonell started off sweeping the floors at the Robert Held Art Glass Studio in 1992 until he was invited to make glass. He eventually became the apprentice of Daniel Vargas, receiving step-by-step training in the art of glassblowing.
