Jane Annette Bazinet (born 1945 in Basile, Louisiana) is an American contemporary artist celebrated for her lyrical figurative compositions that blend poetic realism with abstract expressionism. She began painting in the 1960s and pursued formal art training at Arizona State University for five years, followed by apprenticeships under several established painters. Bazinet’s work encompasses watercolors, oils, and limited-edition serigraphs, often depicting elongated feminine figures in dreamlike settings. Key works such as the serigraph Trois Dames (1987) and the lithograph Elegance and Blackberry (1982) typify her elegant, contemporary style and are hand-signed and numbered in limited editions. Based in Florida and Arizona, her art has appeared in galleries and auctions across the United States and internationally, gaining recognition for its romantic yet modern sensibility and deeply personal aesthetic.
