Jacques & Mary Regat are an award-winning husband-and-wife team of Alaskan sculptors, painters, muralists, and printmakers whose collaborative career spans several decades. Jacques Regat, originally from France, trained in fine arts, carving, and metalworking before earning a Fine Arts degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage, while Mary Regat, largely self-taught, developed her artistic voice through sculpture, painting, and lithography after moving to Alaska in the 1960s. Together, they are best known for their expressive bronze sculptures inspired by Alaska’s wildlife, Indigenous cultures, history, and landscapes, as well as for numerous public monuments and large-scale commissions throughout Alaska. Working in bronze, wood, stone, silver, paint, and other media, the Regats have exhibited widely across North America, and their works are held in public and private collections around the world.
