Jacques Dunoyer (1933-2000) French, Impressionist Oil on Canvas Painting A Garden in Springtime. Jacques Dunoyer was born in Arras, France on June 20, 1933. This remarkable, self-taught artist has become on of the world's best-collected impressionists. Dunoyer traveled the length and breadth of France in quest of his delicately balanced landscapes. The richness of his palette never offends the eye as he belongs in that rare group of artists who create harmony. He received his first reviews in 1967, obtaining the Grand Prix of Art in Sologne. His many honors include the D'Encouragement aux Arts et Letters, the Medaille de Vermeil and membership in the prestigious French Patrimoine. (Designated by the French government as a national treasure). Dunoyer exhibited in London, Paris, Berlin, New York, Tokyo as well as three One Man Exhibitions at the Portnoy Galleries. Mr. Dunoyer passed away in 2000.
