Capodimonte is a renowned Italian porcelain tradition that originated in the mid-18th century under the patronage of King Charles VII of Naples. Initially produced at the Royal Factory in the Capodimonte Palace, this porcelain became famous for its soft-paste composition and exquisitely detailed, hand-modeled designs. Capodimonte pieces often feature elaborate floral arrangements, romantic figurines, mythological scenes, and ornate decorative elements, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and artistic flair. The tradition continued even after the original factory closed, with various workshops in Naples and beyond carrying on the legacy. Today, Capodimonte porcelain is highly prized by collectors for its elegance, historical significance, and intricate beauty.
