Russian icon depicting Three Holy Hierarchs: St. Basil the Great, St. Gregory the Theologian, and St. John Chrysostom. Translation of the label on reverse indicates it to be the property of the Imperial Majesty, in the possession of infantry regiment 529. Nineteenth century Moscow tradition, painted on wooden panel, in fine condition commensurate with age. Comes from a private San Francisco collector, a resident of Russian Hill.
Overall: 12 1/2 x 10 1/2 in.
