Important Early 19th Century American Sampler 1807

This beautiful American sampler was done by Harriet, who was born August the 9,
1797 and “performed in the year 1807”, when she was just ten years old. It features the
alphabet in upper case letters, the third line is missing the letter U because the U was
not part of the early Latin alphabet. The numerals run from 1 to 9, and the words near
the bottom read “The spring of life shall send peace” “And angels point the way to
peace”. There are two columns with floral baskets on either side, birds and floral plants
at the bottom, and a long arch at the top that seems to tie everything together. It is
housed in a beautiful frame, there is a very small spot at the bottom which shows light
wear, otherwise it is in very good condition.
