Howard H. Bradford (American 1919-2008) SerigraphsHoward H. Bradford (American 1919-2008) Serigraphs Titled "Gulls at Pier #1" Dated 1969, edition 75. Howard Bradford was born in Toronto, Canada, and moved at a young age to Los Angeles, California. He spent his youth raising chickens and growingdahlias, the influence of which can be seen in his later paintings. After serving in the Army during World War II, Howard took advantage of the opportunity provided by the GI bill and enrolled in Chouinard Art Institute, later studying at theJepson Art Institute and San Francisco Art Institute. Settling in Big Sur, Howard Bradford became part of the thriving art scene in the late 1950s and 1960s. Overall Size: 41 1/2 x 27 1/2 in.Sight Size: 35 x 20 1/2 in.
