"Window Box", depicts a Venice canal with gondola, oil on canvas signed lower left, 1987. Born in Chicago, Howard Behrens studied painting & sculpture at the University of Maryland. He has had a career that has taken him to every end of the globe and back, to find and paint impressionistic scenes of intense beauty. Behrens is known for his light-filled palette knife painting, figure, landscape, and marine genre.
