Henryk Winograd (1917–2008) was a Polish-born artist and silversmith renowned for his finely detailed repoussé silver works, including medallions, plaques, icons, and jewelry, often signed “HW” and marked sterling or .999. Trained by his father in Poland, he survived wartime hardships—including time in Russian labor camps—before emigrating to the United States, where he gained recognition by the 1980s for his intricate relief work. His subjects ranged from religious and historical imagery to ornamental designs, and his pieces remain sought after by collectors for their craftsmanship and distinctive hand-worked style.
