This is a lithograph by Henri Matisse entitled "Nus Bleus II", or Blue Nudes II, from a series of color lithographs Matisse made from cut-outs depicting nude figures in various positions. His movements were restricted after surgery for stomach cancer, so he created the cut-outs by hand to keep busy, and supervised the creation of the lithographs until he died in 1954. The lithograph is unsigned, and the overall size is 40 1/4 x 17 1/2 in. wide.
