Helen Harrison (20th Century) Navajo, Vintage Sterling Silver and Turquoise Belt - Gross 7.725 ozt. Alternating metal hoops and randomly shaped polished turquoise pieces anchored in sterling silver, with the artist's initials and word "sterling" stamped on the back of one of them.

Helen Harrison is a Navajo artist born in the 20th Century. Very little is known of her life, but her work first began to appear in the 1970s at various Native American outposts, mainly elaborate jewelry and clothing incorporating sterling silver, turquoise, and other natural forms. Her pieces are signed with an “HH” and she was one of the first generations of female Navajo silversmiths, inspiring new generations in the 21st Century.
