Harry A. Thompson, III
Born - May 2, 1946
Harry Thompson graduated from Ringling School of Art, Sara- sota, FL in 1971 with a BFA degree. He then toured North America with a small group of other artists. Later Harry worked as a com- mercial artist, first as an architectural renderer and then as a creative designer. He ended his commercial art career compelled by a strong desire of freedom to pursue his artistic expression. Harry has since supported himself as a fine artist. He has worked in both two and three dimensional mediums with a primary interest in the fluidity of aquamedia.
"As an artist, the quest for new ways of capturing mood in my work propels my continual advancement in the realm of art, both realistic and abstract. This ever present challenge promotes my grasping and molding of new ideas, separating my work into it's own unique and fluid category."
Harry Thompson's work has been shown throughout the east- ern United States and has been purchased by numerous private and corporate collectors. He has received upward of sixty awards for his art, some of which are the following:

Harry presently resides in the southern tier of New York in the summer months and winters on the gulf coast of Florida.
