Hamilton Easter Field (1873-1922) American, Oil on Panel "Harvard Bridge - Boston". Atmospheric tonalist oil landscape on wood panel. Depicts a serene dusk view across the Charles River toward the Harvard Bridge in Boston. The foreground is defined by the dark silhouette of city rooftops and chimneys, contrasting with the soft, glowing lights dotting the bridge span as it stretches across the hazy water. Executed in muted, soft-focus tones of violet, dusk blue, cream, and deep terra-cotta, the painting reflects Field's mastery of Tonalism and early 20th-century American impressionist mood.

Provenance: Acquired in 1990s directly from Fields estate.
