Hisashi Otsuka's 1989 Samurai "Oishi the General" is a powerful balance of ancient Eastern techniques and modern Western ideas. A master of Zen and martial arts, he possesses a daring nature, as is evident in his art. 117 of 300, this powerful mixed media depiction of a Samurai warrior is in fighting stance with a bold black & white coat over rich, dragon-themed fabrics.
