Giuseppe Zocchi (c. 1711–1767) was an Italian engraver and painter best known for his finely detailed vedute—panoramic views—of Florence and the Tuscan countryside. Born in Florence, Zocchi was commissioned by the Marchese Andrea Gerini to travel throughout Italy to study and sketch landscapes, which became the foundation for his celebrated series of engravings. His most famous work, Vedute delle Ville e d'altri luoghi della Toscana, captured the elegance of Tuscan villas and landmarks with remarkable precision and artistry, blending topographical accuracy with an idealized aesthetic. Zocchi's engravings served both as artistic achievements and valuable historical documents, preserving the architecture and urban landscapes of 18th-century Italy.
