Gooch's unique realistic style was made famous with his 1966 Time Magazine cover of Juan Marchal throwing a pitch using multiple images to conveymotion. Gooch was an artist, an illustrator, and a teacher. He exhibited and won prizes at many prominent California exhibitions. He was a teacher at the San Francisco Art Institute for many years. His works are in the collections ofthe San Francisco Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Size: 29 1/4 x 41 in.
