George Rodrique (1944-2013) California Mixed Media. Signed lower right. Depicting Jolie Blonde. Mr. Rodrigue was born in New Iberia on March 13, 1944, the only child of George and Marie Rodrigue. His father was a bricklayer. He beganlearning to draw and paint after he was found to have polio at age 8 and spent several months in bed. He studied art at the University of Southwest Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) in the mid-1960s and attended the ArtCenter College of Design Overall Size: 31 1/2 x 39 1/2 in.
