George Andre LaPorte (1932 - 2014)
Strong, unframed O/C architectural abstract circa 1980s-2000. This piece harkens back to his passion of architectural design & illustrations. LaPorte, working in Montreal & New York City, began as a leading commercial illustrator for Fairchild Publication, and segued to rug design for Versace, Ralph Lauren & Yves Saint Laurent. Throughout his career he embraced his own vivid style on canvas as he tackled both figural images and abstract designs. Proceeds from this sale will benefit students at the FSU/Asolo Conservatory.
