Lalique Champs-Elysee Frosted Glass Leaf Bowl. The spectacular rows of trees lining “the most beautiful avenue of the world” inspired the design of the finely engraved crystal leaves that adorn the Champs-Elysées bowl, designed by Marc Lalique in 1951. In this work of art, the artist captures the beautiful essence of Paris. Etched signature on rim of base.

The Lalique company, founded by René Lalique in 1888, has evolved from a pioneering jewelry atelier into an iconic luxury brand known for its high-quality glassware, crystal, and artistic creations. Initially celebrated for innovative jewelry that embraced natural forms and fluid Art Nouveau lines, Lalique transitioned in the 1920s into producing exquisite glass and crystal, establishing a unique aesthetic in Art Deco design. Under René’s leadership, Lalique developed groundbreaking techniques like cire perdue (lost-wax casting) and opalescent glass, which expanded the creative potential of glass as an art form. Today, Lalique remains synonymous with elegance and craftsmanship, creating not only decorative glass and crystal but also expanding into fine home décor, fragrances, and jewelry. The brand continues to honor René’s legacy by collaborating with contemporary artists and designers, maintaining its reputation as a symbol of French luxury and refined artistry.
