Artist Biography:
Flensted Mobiles, a Danish design company renowned for its handcrafted mobiles, was established in 1953 by Christian and Grethe Flensted. The inception of their first mobile—a stork crafted from two straws and three paper figures—was initially a christening gift for their daughter. This creation garnered significant attention, leading to the founding of their company. Over the years, Flensted Mobiles has evolved into a symbol of Danish craftsmanship, producing designs that blend traditional techniques with modern aesthetics. The company remains a family-run enterprise, with subsequent generations continuing the legacy of creating mobiles that bring balance and tranquility to spaces worldwide.
