Extremely Rare 18th C. 2 Part Battersea Bird Box.
Likely of a robin exceptional in execution. Metal fittings are tight and original to piece. Convex enameled underside of flowers. Condition: appears to be minor crazing and discoloration to corner. possibly fault. Commensurate with age. Museum quality.
Features porcelain green and blue bird shaped snuff box, operates with a copper hinge mechanism. The interior of the lid is a mirror.
