Titled, "Bayou Boats", oil on canvas board, signed lower right. Eugene White spent his artistic career documenting the landscapes of Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, and the farmlands of his native Ohio. In 1947 he attended the Ringling School of Art and Design under Loran Wilford in Sarasota, Florida. He resided in Sarasota for the remainder of his life, where he exhibited widely and was a member of the Sarasota Art Association and the Art League of Manatee, Florida.
