Eric Brakken (Born 1948) American, (2) Heart and Vine Art Glass Vases. Both have a pink clear base with greenish shapes throughout in his signature style. Both signed and dated 1993 on the sides with a serial number on the undersides.

Born in 1948, American sculptor and glass artist Eric Peder Brakken became a notable figure in the Pacific Northwest art glass scene during the late 20th Century. He spent much of his career working with Glasshouse Studio, which stands as Seattle’s oldest glassblowing establishment and played a vital role in the foundational years of the regional movement. Throughout the 1980s and 90s Brakken developed a highly recognizable style defined by his intricate, hand-blown creations. His extensive portfolio of work includes luminous, multi-colored paperweights, decorative vases, abstract glass sculptures, and delicate oil lamps. He frequently experimented with dynamic finishes, masterfully embedding iridescent surfaces, dichroic foil, and elaborate metallic “heart and vine” patterns directly into the glass. Today Brakken’s individually signed and numbered creations remain highly prized by collectors for their fluid craftsmanship and vibrant interplay of color and light.
