Ed Gilliam (1941-2020) American, 1974 Abstract Monumental Oil on Canvas. Signed, dated and inscribed "My First Professional Sale...". Provenance: Balchard Falk. A native of Denver, educated at the University of California, Berkeley 1965-1971 receiving a BA in political Science and a MFA in fine art. Edward lived in Los Angeles for 20 years. He moved to Madrid, New Mexico in 1996 where he opened his Studio/Gallery in 2001. He received the James Phelan Fellowship in Art. He lived in Mexico with his wife Roxane where he continued to paint. His works are exhibited at the Gerald Peters Gallery, and Galeria La Manzanilla in La Manzanilla, Mexico.
