Early Qing Dynasty Chinese Porcelain Snuff Bottle. Blue and white porcelain snuff bottle. Early Qing Dynasty (1840-1910). Chinese Snuff Bottle, Hand Painted Porcelain. In good condition with small discolored residue on one side of the exterior. Baluster shaped bottle.
Snuff bottles were effectively only in use for around 300 years—a very small period within the 5000+ year history of Chinese art. Though small, collectors today appreciate snuff bottles for their beauty, rarity, cultural significance and superb craftsmanship.
