Stickley Brothers Co., founded by John George Stickley and his brother Charles in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was a significant American furniture manufacturer during the early 20th century, contributing to the Arts and Crafts movement. Known for high-quality craftsmanship, their designs emphasized simplicity, functionality, and natural materials, particularly oak, featuring clean lines and exposed joinery. While Gustav Stickley is more famously associated with the movement, Stickley Bros. Co. produced a range of appealing furniture pieces that helped popularize the style. Though the company eventually ceased operations, their furniture remains highly collectible and celebrated for its impact on American design and craftsmanship.
