Born in 1950 in Pereira (Colombia), he lives and works in Bogota. Teacher, performer and writer, Díoscorídes is a multimedia artist delving into the twists and turns of his instincts so much that he brings out subjects that can be seen from many points of view. His performances are – at the same time – installations, tales and paths of personal growth. Most of his work is focused on reviving and analyzing shamanic and cultural rituals by representing them from a modern and expiatory perspective. His work is represented museums in Colombia and abroad.
