Dave Parkhurst is an acclaimed photographer recognized for his dedication to capturing the aurora borealis since 1980. Born in New Orleans, he spent his formative years in Indonesia and Singapore before moving to Hawaii. In 1979, he visited Alaska and soon made it his home. Parkhurst has devoted thousands of hours in sub-zero temperatures to photograph the Northern Lights, with his work featured in numerous publications worldwide. During summers, he presents "AurorA: Alaska's Great Northern Lights" at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts in Anchorage.
