Born in 1961, American artist and designer David Carter Brown is widely celebrated for his warm, nostalgic imagery rooted in traditional folk art and classic Americana. After studying at the Parsons School of Design in New York City, he expanded beyond oils and watercolors by licensing popular imagery across wall decor, textiles, china, and home furnishings. Working out of his studio set in the rolling hills of upstate New York, he draws continuous inspiration from his rural surroundings, farming traditions, and coastal landscapes, all characterized by rich textures, warm patinas, and a timeless charm that have made his paintings widely collected nationwide.
