Edward Darrell Crisp was a California painter, sculptor and illustrator. He studied at the San Francisco Academy of Art. Crisp's work was sold at prominent galleries in San Francisco; Gump Gallery and the Hollis Gallery from the 1960s. He exhibited at museum shows in Northern & Southern California. He continued to produce works up into the 1980s, although little is known of his early and later life. Nevertheless, he has consistently sold well at auctions around the country, and his diverse use of mediums and innovative experiments with space and dimension in his work has made him particularly sought after as a part of the California Abstract Art Scene.
