Craig Lauterbach (21st Century) American, Living Edge Coffee Table. Striking live-edge characterized by swirling grain patterns and natural voids. The organic, irregular edges and natural cavities give it a sculptural, almost topographical look. In the manner or style of George Nakashima.

Craig uses exotic and domestic woods inlaid in a mosaic design that create one-of-a-kind vessels and sculptures. He is constantly evolving his techniques to achieve new editions to his work. He also adds stones to his vessels and sculptures to emphasize color.
His first journey into woodworking was constructing and designing stack, laminated furniture. His work has been catalogued in Design for Woodworking II and California Craftsman. Craig has exhibited in numerous galleries throughout the United States and has clients all over the world. He is currently showing in the Venture Gallery in Monterey and the Carmel Art Association in Carmel, California.
